How to connect HP ENVY 5640 printer to a WiFi Network

Follow the steps below to connect your printer to the a wireless network.

Note: If your printer is already connected to Wi-Fi, skip steps 5-9.

1. Turn the computer, router and computer / laptop on.
2. Make sure your computer is already connected to the WiFi network.
3. Place the printer and the router within a short distance.
4. Disconnect the USB cable from the printer.
5. From the printer control panel, touch (Wireless).
6. Touch the setup button on the screen.
7. Select “Wireless Settings” and then “Wireless Setup Wizard”.
8. Nearby WiFi networks will be displayed, select your network from the list.
9. Enter the password of the Wi-Fi network.
10. On your computer, download the driver and run it.
11. Follow on-screen instructions, remember to select wireless connection during the installation process.
