The HP Scanjet 2400 scanner doesn’t have official drivers for Windows 10 and Windows 11, but you can often get it to work using the built-in drivers or workaround solutions available in Windows.

Step 1: Connect the Scanner

• Plug the HP Scanjet 2400 into a USB port on your computer.
• Windows should detect the device automatically, but it might fail to find the appropriate drivers.

Step 2: Use Windows Update to Search for Drivers

a) Open Device Manager:

• Follow the on-screen prompts to scan your document.

b) Scan App:

• Open the Start menu and search for the Scan app.
• Open the app and see if your HP Scanjet 2400 is listed. If it is, you can begin scanning from there.

Step 4: Compatibility Mode Installation (Alternative)*

If none of the above steps work, you can try installing an older driver (for Windows 7 or Windows 8) in Compatibility Mode:

• Download the Windows 7 or 8 drivers for the HP Scanjet 2400 from the HP website (if available).
• Right-click the installer file and select Properties.
