Installing HP Photosmart C3180 Using Windows Built-in Drivers
Step 1: Connect the Printer
- Turn on your HP Photosmart C3180.
- Connect it to your computer using a USB cable.
Step 2: Open “Devices and Printers”
- Press
Windows key
+R
to open the Run dialog. - Type
control printers
and press Enter to open the Devices and Printers window.
Step 3: Add a Printer
- Click on “Add a printer” at the top of the Devices and Printers window.
- Wait for Windows to search for connected printers.
- If the HP Photosmart C3180 appears in the list, select it and click Next.
- If it doesn’t appear, click “The printer that I want isn’t listed” to proceed manually.
Step 4: Manually Add the Printer
- Choose “Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings” and click Next.
- Select “Use an existing port”, choose the USB port from the drop-down list, and click Next.
Step 5: Select the Built-in Driver
- Under Manufacturer, select HP.
- Find HP Photosmart C3180 or HP Photosmart Series from the list of drivers.
- If C3180 is not listed, the HP Photosmart Series driver should be compatible.
- Click Next to proceed with the installation.
Step 6: Complete the Installation
- Enter a name for the printer (or keep the default), and click Next.
- Choose whether to set this printer as the default.
- Click Next and wait for the drivers to install.
- Once done, click Finish.
Step 7: Test the Installation
- Go to Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on the HP Photosmart C3180 printer and select “Print a test page”.
- Verify that the test page prints correctly.
