Option A: Ideal to configure and connect the equipment for the first time to the network. It’s also recommended if you don’t want to sign up for an HP account. Option B: If you have previously connected the device to the network, this option will be easier to use, note that you will need to have an HP account to use the equipment.

If you are asked to sign in to a Microsoft Store account, you can either sign in, create one or close the sign in screen and continue to install the HP Smart app.
If you are using a VPN network, you will need to disconnect from it before starting the download.

Before starting, keep the following in mind:
The computer that will connect to the printer must be on the same wireless network.
You need to know the name of the wireless network and its security password. If you do not have this information, consult the documentation provided with your wireless router, you may also need to contact your network administrator or the person who set up your wireless network.
You must turn on the printer and verify that the WiFi network is active.
The printer’s USB cable must be unplugged.
If you’re using a VPN, turn it off during the setup process.
Both the printer and the computer should receive a strong signal from the router, if not, consider moving them closer to the router, you can also add a Wi-Fi repeater to increase the range and strength of the signal.
Installation steps
On the printer panel, tap the “Wireless” symbol.
Now, on the printer screen locate and select “Settings” (gear symbol)
Select “Wireless Settings”.
Select “Wireless Setup Wizard”
