Epson XP-4100 driver. You can download the pilots necessary below to install the printer and scanner, you can also configure the wireless connection and more.
Operating systems: Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7 & Apple macOS 10.14 – 10.12 / Mac OS X 10.11 – 10.6.
(1) For installation and wireless connection, download the software, run it and then follow the on-screen instructions.
(2) If your device has already been connected to the router / WiFi network, you could also use Apple AirPrint.
Instructions for installing the EPSON XP-4100 printer
Step 1: Unpack the printer and plug it in
Remove all packing materials and stickers from the printer.
Open the printer cover and remove all packing materials inside.
Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet and press the power button to turn on the printer.
Set the language, country, date and time on the printer’s LCD screen.
Step 2: Install the ink cartridges
Open the printer cover and wait for the cartridge carriage to move to the center.
Shake ink cartridges lightly before removing them from their packaging.
Insert each cartridge into the slot corresponding to its color and press down until it clicks into place.
Close the printer cover and wait for the printer to charge ink. This may take around 10 minutes.
Step 3: Load paper
Pull the paper tray towards you and adjust the side guides according to the size of paper you are using.
Load paper into the paper tray within the limit indicated on the edge of the tray.
Push the paper tray toward the printer until it stops.
Step 4: Connect the printer to your computer or wireless network
You have two options for connecting your printer:
Option A: Use a USB cable
Connect a USB cable between your printer and your computer. Do not connect the cable until prompted to do so by the installation software.
Download the installer for your computer’s operating system by choosing one of the options listed above, or use the CD that came with the printer.
Follow the onscreen instructions to install the printer software and drivers.
Option B: Use Wi-Fi
Press the Home button on the printer’s LCD screen, then select Wi-Fi.
Select Wi-Fi Setup, then Auto Wi-Fi Setup or Manual Wi-Fi Setup depending on your preferences.
Follow the onscreen instructions to connect your printer to your wireless network. You will need your network name and password.
Download the installer for your computer’s operating system by choosing one of the options listed above, or use the CD that came with the printer.
Follow the onscreen instructions to install the printer software and drivers.
Step 5: Test print
Press the Home button on the printer’s LCD screen, and then select Copy.
Place a document face down on the scanner glass and press Start to make a copy.
Check the copy quality and adjust the settings if necessary.
Solution to common problems
Here are some common problems you might encounter when installing or using the Epson XP-4100 printer.
The installation software does not correctly detect your operating system:
In this case, it is important that you select the correct version of your operating system from the options given above.
Your printer does not work properly after installing a new operating system or updating the version of your operating system:
You can try to reinstall the driver; if the problem persists, you must contact Epson support for help.
Your printer does not connect to your wireless network: This may be due to one of the following situations:
Your network may be unstable: Check that your wireless router is working properly; it may also happen that the distance between the router and your computer is too far, in which case you should place them at a shorter distance or add a wireless repeater.
You have changed the network name or password: Check your network name and password; if necessary, you must enter them correctly in the printer.
